Help Contents > Full TextFull TextAfter performing a Reference Shelf Search, you are taken to a Full text page containing the text of the Dictionary, Thesaurus or Shakespeare Glossary entries retrieved by your search. These entries are listed by headword in alphabetical order. The full text display follows the manner in which they appear in the original printed version of the Dictionary, Thesaurus or Shakespeare Glossary. In addition a number of standard abbreviations appear within the full text. The Full text page indicates the number of hits (i.e. the number of times the search term or expression occurs in the database) and the number of entries (i.e. the number of dictionary entries containing the search term or expression) retrieved by a Search. If your search retrieves more than 20 entries click the Next link to view the next set of 20 entries. Click the Previous link at the top of the page if you wish to return to the previous group of entries. To make changes to your search click the Refine Search
link. This will return you to the search page with your current search
terms intact, and enable you to alter/add to them. |
