Dictionary: Search

You can search the Dictionary using any word forming part of the heading of a dictionary entry.

To conduct a search, type the required search terms (individual words or phrases) into the Word search box.

In the Search page, you can combine search terms using Boolean and proximity searching and search for variations on search terms using truncation.

When you have finished making your selections, click on the Search button. The Full text page will appear displaying the text of the entries matching your search.

To clear your search and start again, click the Clear Search link.
